I’ve noticed that when I take time to celebrate my successes–even the itty bitty ones–it’s much easier to find the motivation to continue working toward my goals.
Celebrating doesn’t mean throwing yourself a party every time you cross an item off your to-do list. It simply means pausing long enough to acknowledge your efforts and achievements.
Journaling has become an integral part of my self-care practice, and it’s been particularly helpful when it comes to celebrating the milestones of my personal goals. Journaling is relatively easy, it doesn’t require fancy equipment, and it’s something I can commit to doing daily. Taking just a few minutes each evening to reflect on the day’s accomplishments brings my successes into focus and also helps build anticipation for the possibilities of tomorrow.
