Self-Care Challenge (Day 84): Celebrating

David GilmourTo celebrate the beginning of the last year of my 30’s, my husband planned quite the elaborate birthday celebration.

We spent a long weekend in Santa Monica visiting with some friends who joined us to see David Gilmour perform live at the Hollywood Bowl.

Celebrating the good things in life is an exercise in self-care. It gives us the opportunity to be grateful for our blessings–in the case of birthdays, the gift of being alive.

Whether your celebration involves a local gathering of friends or a distant destination, remember that it’s a grateful heart that brings us the greatest happiness.
