Self-Care Challenge (Day 109): Finding Inspiring Spaces

It’s amazing how quickly our mood can shift when we change our surroundings.

Think about how you feel when you are listening to live music, waiting in line at the airport, working in your garden, reading at the library, shopping at the mall or sitting outside beside moving water. Depending on where we are, and what’s going on around us, we experience a range of moods.

Sometimes a change of scenery is refreshing–especially for those of us who work from home. After putting in several hours at my computer, I realized that I desperately needed a break. The sun was shining and there was a quaint little café not far from my home that has a beautiful outdoor patio area, so I decided it was time for tea.

There I sat with my journal and a hot cup of tea. Those few minutes were exactly what I needed to recharge for a productive afternoon.

Inspiring spaces can be found everywhere; we just have to look for them.

Where do you go for inspiration?
