On day 156 of my 366-day self-care challenge, I took time to celebrate my success.
I’ve noticed that when I take time to celebrate – even the tiny ones–it’s much easier to stay motivated to continue working toward my goals.
Celebrating doesn’t mean throwing myself a party every time I cross an item off my to-do list. It simply means pausing long enough to acknowledge my efforts and achievements.
Journaling has become an integral part of my self-care practice, and it’s been particularly helpful when it comes to celebrating the milestones of my personal goals. It’s easy to do, it doesn’t require any fancy equipment, and it’s something I can commit to doing on a daily basis. Taking just a few minutes each morning or evening to reflect on the day’s accomplishments brings my successes into focus and it also helps build anticipation for the possibilities of tomorrow.
How do you celebrate your successes?
