Self-Care Challenge (Day 324): Rearranging Furniture

Every once in a while it’s nice to have a change of scenery, and rearranging furniture is a cheap and easy way to spruce up your familiar living spaces. And for me, a little rearranging every now and then lifts my mood, boosts my creativity, and sparks new ideas. (That’s why I consider it a self-care activity.)

Sometimes, it feels like I’m in an entirely different place altogether.

Yesterday, we rearranged our lower living space. I have to say that lugging a couch from one floor to the other wasn’t exactly what I would call fun, but it was worth it in the end. Since we spend most of our time in that room, especially in the winter months, it just made more sense to make it a bit cozier.

It felt strange at first, but by early evening it felt like home again, and it didn’t cost us a thing (aside from an hour of our time).
