Self-Care Challenge (Day 324): Rearranging Furniture

On day 324 of my 366-day self-care challenge, I rearranged furniture.

Every once in a while it’s nice to have a change of scenery, and rearranging furniture is a cheap and easy way to spruce up familiar living spaces. For me, a little rearranging every now and then lifts my mood, boosts my creativity, and sparks new ideas. (That’s why I consider it a self-care activity.)

Sometimes, a few small adjustments make it feel like I’m in an entirely different place altogether.

Yesterday, we rearranged our lower living room space, and I must say, lugging a couch from one floor to the other wasn’t exactly what I would call fun, but it was worth it in the end. Since we spend most of our time in that room, especially during the winter months, it just made more sense to make it cozy.

It felt strange at first, but by early evening it felt like home again, and it didn’t cost us a thing (aside from an hour of our time).
